TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

10:14 a.m., Groveland — Somebody “tore up” the grass and sprinklers in front of apartments on the 19600 block of Elder Lane.

10:26 a.m., Twain Harte — A resident on the 28600 block of Italian Bar Road said a man walked up to his door at about 7:30 a.m. and yelled out his name. The man then went back to his truck, grabbed a propane tank with a torch on it, opened the tank, and pointed it at the resident’s door. The man put the open tank on the porch and left the area. The resident knows the man’s name.

12:22 p.m., Sonora area — A man said someone stole tires and rims from the front yard of his residence on the 16600 block of Estralita Drive. He said the last time he saw them was two months ago and didn’t know when they were taken.

1:22 p.m., Jamestown — A man said he was assaulted by another man at his home on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road. The victim knows the suspect.

7:57 p.m., La Grange — A man said someone broke into his garage on the 5400 block of Avenida Lugo North and stole thousands of dollars worth of tools, saddles and other items.

THURSDAY

2:38 a.m., East Sonora area — Kevin Michael Burback, 19, of the 16100 block of Murphy Road, was booked on suspicion of vandalism and a misdemeanor charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest on Lime Kiln Road south of Jacobs Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

6:01 a.m., assault — An unidentified man threw a “big chunk of asphalt” at an employee of a business on South Washington Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

6:43 a.m., sexual offenses — Someone reported a man at Sonora Regional Medical Center on Greenley Road for indecent exposure. Officers found the man and admonished him for his actions. He was advised to stay away from the hospital unless it was an emergency.

12:56 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman said someone stole three checks on a closed account out of her purse left at her prior residence on Gerrymander Avenue while she was in the hospital. Two of the checks were cashed in Sonora and jewelry was also taken from her purse. She did not want to file a report and was going to have a family member look into it for her.

7:12 p.m., drugs — Someone said they saw five or six juveniles smoking marijuana next to the restrooms at the skate park on Greenley Road. The juveniles had left the area by the time officers arrived at the scene.

7:40 p.m., public intoxication — A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after being found passed out in front of a business on South Washington Street.

FRIDAY

12:44 a.m., public intoxication — A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive.

2:10 a.m., assault — A man who was treated in the emergency room of Sonora Regional Medical Center on Greenley Road said he was punched at one of the bars in the downtown area. He refused to file a report.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:30 a.m., Vallecito — A battery was reported during a dispute between neighbors on Carson Street.

3 p.m., Vallecito — People tried to break into a vehicle at the Natural Bridges hiking trail.

1 a.m., Arnold — Micah John Harrison, 35, of the 900 block of Chardonnay Court, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of possessing drugs, after an arrest on the 1600 block of Pine Drive.

11:55 a.m., Copperopolis — Billy Buckhanan Jr., 59, of the 3100 block of Little John Road, was arrested at Feather Drive and Iroquois Circle.
