TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

12:55 a.m., Jamestown area — Two people were arrested after being seen entering a house for sale on the 18000 block of Via Serena without permission. Illegal drugs and paraphernalia were found near them.

 4:11 a.m., Tuolumne area — Two occupants of a vehicle at Tuolumne and Woodhams Carne Road were arrested on suspicion of heroin and other charges.

7:32 a.m., Columbia — The caretaker of a foreclosed property on the 21800 block of Sawmill Flat Road said a group of juveniles were camping and having a bonfire on the property Thursday night. They put the fire out when asked, but the caretaker wanted documentation since it is a recurring problem.     

12:35 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman on the 15300 block of Camino Del Parque North noticed two rings were missing from her residence.

12:55 p.m., Big Hill area — Someone at Sierra Glen Ranch on the 15600 block of Big Hill Road said someone stole an antique iron anvil, two antique gas burning lamps and other items.

1:41 p.m., Sonora — An arrest was made at the Alternatives to Detention Center on the 1000 block of Highway 49.

3:18 p.m., Sonora — An arrest was made at the Alternatives to Detention Center on the 1000 block of Highway 49.

4:02 p.m., Columbia — The owner of 49er Trailer Park on the 23200 block of Italian Bar Road reported the theft of water.

7:22 p.m., Long Barn — An arrest was made after law enforcement responded to a call that a man had spit on someone on the 24900 block of Highway 108.

7:49 p.m., Sonora area — An assault was reported on the 14300 block of Tuolumne Road. 

SATURDAY

5:11 a.m., Strawberry — A man came into a campsite on Herring Creek Road asking for help because he was assaulted by his brother and other parties in his camping group. The campers said they heard several shots in the background as they left the campground with him in the back of the car and asked for law enforcement to meet them.

12:02 p.m., Twain Harte — A burglary was reported on the 23600 block of Kit Carson Drive.

1:33 p.m., Groveland — Someone reported that a man was trespassing at a business on the 31800 block of Highway 120.

3:49 p.m., Tuttletown — A burglary was reported on Reynolds Ferry Road. 

4:17 p.m., Columbia — Deputies were alerted that a re-enactment of the Battle of Sawmill, including a number of rifle shots and a cannon blast, would take place at Columbia State Historic Park.

5:43 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone reported a fire at Twain Harte Lake.

10 p.m., Don Pedro — An arrest was made at the 11000 block of Bonds Flat Road.

10:50 p.m., East Sonora — Someone reported two suspicious people pacing a vehicle with bloody rags inside and all around it at the 14200 block of Mono Way. One person was arrested for out-of-county warrants. 

11:05 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A disturbance was reported on the 22200 block of Yerba Santa Drive. An arrest was made.

11:36 p.m., Sonora — A man on the 202200 block of Clavey Court reported his credit card stolen. 

SUNDAY

8:59 a.m., Columbia — Someone reported a woman getting beat up and calling for help at the 11000 block of State Street. 

9:03 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10600 block of Seventh Street reported that her purse was stolen and unauthorized charges on her credit card. 

11:37 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported that a theft of jewelry and gold coins on the 10500 block of Petticoat Junction.

12:21 p.m., Big Oak Flat — Someone reported that a man and woman were screaming in a parking lot on the 17400 block of Highway 120.

4:41 p.m., Twain Harte — A man was arrested for brandishing a handgun while attempts were made to repossess his vehicle on the 22900 block of Middle Camp Road.

6:42 p.m., Soulsbyville — Someone reported that a suspicious man was prostituting a young girl who was lifting up her skirt at passing cars on the 20500 block of Timothy Drive.

6:46 p.m., Jamestown — Someone reported that people were trying to remove a shed from a bank property on the 16100 block of Placer Street. 

 7:01 p.m., East Sonora — Two men were arrested for felony warrants on the 14800 block on Mono Way.

9:13 p.m., East Sonora — A man was arrested on the 14700 block on Mono Way.

MONDAY

6:21 a.m., Columbia — Someone reported that a house was burglarized on the 11000 block of State Street.

FRIDAY

1:19 a.m., Sonora — Jeffrey Weir Bodine, 53, of the 10800 block of Plaza Oriente Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of possessing controlled substance paraphernalia and trespassing after an arrest at the 18000 block on Via Serena. 

1:22 a.m., Sonora — Suzanne Helena Funk, 44, a transient of the 13000 block of Plaza Oriente Road, was booked on suspicion of felony probation violation and misdemeanor charges of trespassing and possession of controlled substances without a prescription, after an arrest at the 18000 block on Via Serena. 

4:37 a.m., Tuolumne — Donald Gene Taylor, 59, a transient of the 2500 block of Parksdale Drive, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possessing and selling a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of possessing controlled substance paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needle, after an arrest on Tuolumne Road at Woodham Carne Road. 

8:57 p.m. Mi-Wuk Village— Douglas Mitchell Alameda 45, of the 24900 block Mi-Wuk Village, was arrested at home and booked on suspicion of threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and a misdemeanor charge of assault.

SUNDAY

5:07 p.m., Twain Harte — James Randolph Auld, 46, of the 22900 block of Middle Camp Road, was arrested at home and booked on suspicion of threatening a crime with intent to terrorize and a misdemeanor charge of exhibiting a replica firearm.

SATURDAY

6:06 p.m., Lake Tulloch — William Otis Bennet, 58, of the 4000 block of Skyline Place, Pittsburg, was arrested at Lake Tulloch for using a watercraft while under the influence.

10:51 p.m., Sonora — Lawrence Keith Ellis, 39, of the 400 block of North Stewart Street, was arrested at North Stewart and Wall Streets.

SUNDAY

1:39 a.m., Jamestown — Kathleen Elizabeth Trosper, 20, a transient  of Tuolumne, was arrested on Highway 49 at Main Street. 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

5:19 p.m., traffic violation — A man known to Sonora Police Department went to the Police Department on Green Street to tell them he didn’t have a place to stay and would be parked over the weekend in the Save Mart parking lot on Stockton Road. He was then seen driving away in a 1968 Chevrolet flatbed truck. He was found in the Save Mart parking lot and cited for driving on a suspended or revoked license and driving with no proof of insurance. The vehicle was stored with a 30-day hold placed it.

8:59 p.m., animal complaint — A woman said four raccoons were at her back porch, and one was acting aggressive and attacked her screen door. She was advised to contact a California Department of Fish and game trapper if they return, and a copy of the incident was forwarded to the Department of Fish and Game.

9:04 p.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested on charges of public intoxication, obstructing an officer and battery against an officer after reportedly causing a disturbance at a restaurant on South Washington Street.

SATURDAY

7 a.m., theft — A woman reported that two CD cases were stolen from her car on Fairview Lane.

11:03 p.m., controlled substances — A 34-year-old man was seen inhaling canned air at a business on Sanguinetti Road. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of nitrous oxide.

SUNDAY

12:37 a.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 1200 block on Sanguinetti Road.

1:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man purchased three cans of air duster from a clerk who was unaware that they had been advised not to sell to him at a business on the 1200 block on Sanguinetti Road. Officers checked the area and found eight empty air duster cans. At 2:28 p.m. the man was found behind the building laying on the ground bleeding from the head. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of nitrous oxide.

1:57 p.m., public intoxication — One man and one woman were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after passing out with open containers in the planters in front of a business on Sanguinetti Road. 

4:22 p.m., theft — A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing a bottle of bourbon from a business on Stockton Road.

7:20 p.m., controlled substances — An arrest was made at a business on the 800 block on Mono Way.

7:27 p.m., assault — A man was assaulted on the 200 block of Greenley Road.

11:09 p.m., disorderly conduct — Two men were suspected of yelling and beating on the air and water supply tank at a gas station Hospital Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:36 a.m., Vallecito — A burglary occurred at Calaveras County Solid Waste on Red Hill Road.

10:10 a.m., Arnold — Someone was yelling at cars and acting weird at the Cal Fire station on Highway 4.

10:16 p.m., San Andreas — An arrest for public intoxication was made at the Calaveras County Administrative Center on Mountain Ranch Road.

10:35 a.m., San Andreas — Someone had been living in a residence on Treat Avenue without permission.

11:48 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A theft occurred on Ponderosa Way.

11:50 p.m., San Andreas — A woman running with two sticks in her hand and a white van following her on Highway 12 turned out to be training for a race.

1:08 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone stole medical plants from Peregrine Road.

5:47 p.m., Murphys — Credit card fraud was reported by a French Gulch Road resident.

6:04 p.m., Wallace — An arrest was made after law enforcement responded to a family disturbance call on Southworth Road.

11:30 p.m., Burson — An arrest was made after law enforcement responded to a large group causing a disturbance on Wade Lane at Camanche Recreation Area.

SATURDAY 

1:14 a.m., Angels Camp — A group of campers at New Melones Reservoir were yelling, screaming and playing loud music after being asked to quiet down.

8:59 a.m., Valley Springs — A burglary was reported on Quail Oaks Road.

1:48 p.m., Arnold — Three men were fighting near Fly In Acres Reservoir near Moran Road and Rainey Drive.

10:12 p.m., Valley Springs — Two shots were heard in the area of Usher Drive and Schmidt Place.

Sunday

1:25 a.m., San Andreas — A deputy heard a two gunshots near Pool Station Road and Russell Road, but was unable to find the source after searching the area.

10:53 a.m., West Point — A wallet was reported missing on Stanley Road. 

12:32 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Items were stolen from an open garage on Easy Bird Road.

5:11 p.m., San Andreas — People who were possibly intoxicated were shooting at the top of Oak Street.

7:25 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone reported being pushed down an embankment after a dispute regarding the purchase of appliances near Highway 49.

8:11 p.m., West Point — Someone heard three shots coming from the woods near Lili Valley Circle.

MONDAY

7:51 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone was destroying vending machines and stealing money at a business on Feather Drive.
