Not quite getting the ball and the pins to cooperate for a perfect game were Robert Porovich (Jokers Wild) and Warren Walker (Helakno Full House). Porovich had a 285 for high game, Walker had a 279/738 for high series. Porovich had 10-in-a-row when the 4-6-7 split popped up.

The women were led by Amanda Klaahsen (Helakno Full House) with a high game of 228 and Nanette Warzee (High Rollers) had series with 611.

There were two other 700s — Frank Gaspardi (High Rollers) with 707 and Porovich with 724.

Other notable scores included: High Rollers – Talf Wynne 268, CJ Lattin with 258/687 and Eddy Warzee 657; Helakno Full House – Amanda Klaahsen 576 and Art Kaua 265/651.

The “I can’t believe I beat myself” club inductees were (High Rollers) Talf Wynne, 84 pins over with 268 and (Summer Morning Rollers) Chuck Farris 76 over with 246.

In the Black Oak 9-Pin No-Tap league, Bruce Peterson had the high game and series with a 278/772 and Ruth Benson also had both high game and series with 262/633.

The Wild Nite Out league had in the top spots Joy Meyers with a 171 and Nanette Warzee with a 570 for the women. For the men it was Steve Cituk with 181 and Bryan Mueller 458.

Summer leagues are coming to a close over the next few weeks. Helakno Full House had a Position Round Roll-off between Fantastic Four and 7-10 Blues with 7-10 Blues winning the second half and they will now face Cutler-Segerstrom Insurance for the league Championship.

Winter league signups are underway with most of the leagues starting the week of Labor Day, except for the Monday leagues which will start the Monday after Labor Day.

Additional exceptions include the Thursday and Friday night leagues which will start on Aug. 23/24 and the youth league which will start on Aug. 26.
