TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:51 a.m., Soulsbyville — Rocks were thrown through some windows at the Willow Springs Clubhouse and a business, both on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive.

9:29 a.m., Jamestown — Someone broke the window of a rental car out and stole food that was in it on the 18700 block of Highway 108.

12:09 p.m., Twain Harte — A purse was taken from a woman’s car on the 20000 block of Davis Flat Road.

1:31 p.m., Jamestown — A mountain lion was seen on the 10600 block of Wigwam Road. The call was transferred to the California Fish and Game Department.

3:04 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on work release as a condition of probation allegedly stole multiple items from the Humane Society of Tuolumne County on the 10000 block of Victoria Place.

3:25 p.m., Sonora area — A coin bank and multiple other items were stolen from a residence on the 16700 block of Woodside Way.

3:43 p.m., Twain Harte — A 75-year-old transient man was reportedly passed out on a bench in front of a business on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive. He also allegedly used his walking stick to damage a plant and planter in the shopping center. Someone called back a couple hours later and said he was sitting in front of another business yelling at customers in a chair that was for sale. Sheriff’s deputies arrested the man on suspicion of public intoxication.

3:50 p.m., Groveland — A woman said a man stole her rifle about four years ago from her storage unit on the 20900 block of Elderberry Way.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

3:32 p.m., burglary — A residence was burglarized on South Barretta Street.

3:52 p.m., theft — A manager at a business was trying to detain an alleged shoplifter who was being combative. A 21-year-old man was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor theft and public intoxication.

10:33 p.m., burglary — A residence was burglarized on Conklin Trail.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

10:08 a.m., Murphys — Someone said there is an ongoing issue with another person who is taking chopped wood off properties near French Gulch Road and Darby Lane.

12:35 p.m., Copperopolis — A snake got into someone’s house on Copper Cove Drive.

12:40 p.m., Valley Springs — A mountain lion was seen in the morning near Highway 12 and Pine Street.

12:41 p.m., San Andreas — Someone was assaulted on Pope Street.

3:02 p.m., Burson — An arrest was made for public intoxication on Wade Lane.

3:57 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A burglary was reportd on Highway 26.

8:42 p.m., Valley Springs — An arrest was made for public intoxication on Paradise Peak.

9:24 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone on Mono Court said water was “gushing” out of a neighbor’s house possibly because of a break-in or vandalism.

FRIDAY

2:33 a.m., San Andreas — Juveniles vandalized Calaveras High School on High School Street.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

2:31 a.m., Wallace — Steven David Casem, 44, of the 7800 block of Highway 12, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, after an arrest at his home.

11:33 a.m., Valley Springs — Ronald Allen Price, 32, unknown address, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 200 block of Highway 12.

4 p.m., San Andreas — Joshua Timothy Lindstrom, 25, of the 100 block of Pope Street, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, after an arrest at his home.
