Challenge to all local businesses

To the Editor,

To all local businesses: Challenge your ‘go greener’ footprint.

Just think if the businesses were all closed Sundays and if the highways were that much clearer for a day a week, just how much toxic waste we would save and have a greener footprint.

There are some eastern businesses that are at the forefront of what I hope becomes a new, old and returning trend — that is, being closed on Sunday! One of the businesses is a well known fast-food chain, Chick-fil-A.

Warning of phone/ computer scam

To the Editor,

There is a person with an accent who phones (caller ID says ‘Out of Area’) and claims to be a Microsoft technician.

Last time he called, he claimed he was a Windows technician.

He wants you to log on to your computer, presumably to help you fix a problem.

Don’t do it.

Hang up on this guy, he’s a phony.

Microsoft will never cold call anyone.
