TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SUNDAY

8:28 a.m., Sonora area — A pump was stolen from a woman’s pump house on the 19600 block of Highway 108.

12:27 p.m., Jamestown — A residence was broken into on the 18100 block of Eighth Avenue.

2:13 p.m., Twain Harte — There was a disturbance between two Jeeps near Highway 108 and Twain Harte Drive. The people inside the Jeeps were reportedly yelling and throwing beer cans at each other.

4:11 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her car and cell phone were stolen by another woman earlier that morning on the 18100 block of Highway 108.

8:18 p.m., Tuolumne — A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at the U.S. Post Office on Carter Street.

MONDAY

8:59 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 23200 block of Italian Bar Road said someone put sugar in his gas tank during the night.

9:51 a.m., Standard — A “suspicious” man was holding a Bible and chanting outside the gate of Curtis Creek Elementary School on the 18700 block of Standard Road.

12:45 p.m., Strawberry — A woman on the 28200 block of Old Strawberry Drive said her computer containing her credit card information was taken. She said the suspect is using her cards.

3:51 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10500 block of Petticoat Junction Drive was trying to sell an item on the Internet and someone sent her a fraudulent check. The sender asked her to cash it and send the money back via Western Union. She did not cash the check and was advised to tear it up.

SUNDAY

6:40 p.m., Sonora area — Janet Ann Dittman-Kelly, 55, of the 18200 block of Avenida Bonita, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at her home.

MONDAY

1:01 a.m., East Sonora — Allyssa Ann Jensen, 23, of the 22300 block of Conklin Trail, and Amber Nicole Castro, 27, of the 17900 block of Seco Street, Jamestown, were booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 13800 block of Mono Way.

6:23 p.m., East Sonora — Arika Ann Smith, 19, of the 1500 block of Anconia Street, Oakdale, was booked on suspicion of burglary and criminal conspiracy, after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

SUNDAY

12:25 a.m., Columbia — Mathew Charles Schmitt, 52, of an unknown address in Middletown, was arrested at Fulton and Main streets.

12:35 a.m., Sonora — Marilyn Julie Stevenson, 61, of the 19800 block of Spring Ridge Terrace, Salinas, was arrested on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

MONDAY

3:52 a.m., Jamestown area — Moriya Reagan Wheeler, 31, of the 200 block of Shepherd Street, Sonora, was arrested on Highway 108 west of Montezuma Junction.

10:34 p.m., Sonora — Emerson Sherwood Doolittle, 59, of the 1900 block of Panorama Place, was arrested at Rough and Ready Trail and Racetrack Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

SUNDAY

2:20 a.m., driving under the influence — A possibly intoxicated driver in a gray two-door Honda Civic was seen crossing the barrier lines on Washington Street and almost hit a parked car. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

9:15 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Three men were seen trying to tip over a soda machine at the skate park on Greenley Road.

MONDAY

2:58 p.m., public intoxication — A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at a business on South Washington Street.

3:04 p.m., theft — A man said someone stole his sister’s iPod in the parking lot of a business on Sanguinetti Road.

4:02 p.m., public peace/fight — A car drove up to the police department building on Green Street and the female driver began honking the horn until officers responded outside. Officers determined the woman and another person in the car were in the middle of an argument regarding the ownership of the car. They were separated and left in different vehicles.

 

CALAVERAS COUNTY 

The Calaveras Sheriff’s Department reported the following:

SUNDAY

8:56 a.m., San Andreas — The California Fish and Game Department was advised of possible poaching near Costa Road.

11:08 a.m., Copperopolis — A vehicle was burglarized on Bluff View Road.

11:16 a.m., Camp Connell — A mother bear and cubs were seen at a campground on Camp Menzies Road.

12:30 p.m., Valley Springs — A theft happened on Blair Drive.

12:52 p.m., Valley Springs — A residence was burglarized on Ospital Road.

7:56 p.m., Copperopolis — A citation was issued for vandalism to a vehicle at Little John Road and Copperopolis Drive.
