TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

2:04 a.m., Jamestown — A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing hypodermic needles and a probation violation, after a pedestrian stop at Jamestown Elementary School on Fifth Avenue.

10:10 a.m., Soulsbyville — A man left his vehicle unlocked on the 20100 block of Soulsbyville Road overnight and woke up to find somebody stole his ATM card, a dozen music CDs and about $8 cash.

12:02 p.m., Sonora — A woman said someone had taken several electronic items and an EBT card from her transient camp near Stockton Road and Highway 108.

2:17 p.m., Cherry Lake — Someone said a 14-foot boat sank and the man who owns it was on the side of the lake in need of assistance.

4:38 p.m., East Sonora — A man with a hospital band on his wrist was seen lying on the sidewalk between two businesses on the 13700 block of Mono Way. An ambulance was dispatched.

7:05 p.m., Tuolumne — An ambulance was called for a man who possibly overdosed and was seen lying by the side of a business on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

THURSDAY

1:24 a.m., Twain Harte — William Joseph Kerr, 35, of the 19900 block of L Street, Mi-Wuk Village, was arrested on Little John Road west of Robin Hood Drive.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

6:28 a.m., vehicle checks — Officers on patrol found a vehicle with its windows broken out in the parking lot of a business on Mono Way.

2:07 p.m., theft — A blond man wearing a black shirt and gray sweatpants stole a bottle of alcohol from a business on Stockton Road.

2:47 p.m., theft — A newspaper box was stolen from in front of a business on Mono Way.

5:50 p.m., trespassing — A transient man carrying a backpack was acting “very agitated” in a business on Mono Way and was threatening customers. The man was gone when officers arrived.

7:48 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A silver Dodge Stratus was parked on Fairview Lane with broken windows and popped tires. The car’s owner said he caused the damage because he was angry after it broke down the previous night.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

4:31 p.m., Valley Springs — A man and woman were arrested for fighting at Veterans Ball Park.

4:32 p.m., Copperopolis — There was an attempted burglary at Lake Tulloch Resort on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

4:56 p.m., Arnold — A home on Moran Road was burglarized.

 

FRIDAY

6:31 a.m., San Andreas — Two mailboxes were vandalized on Broadway Street.

7:04 a.m., San Andreas — Equipment was stolen on Broadway Street.

THURSDAY

9:11 a.m., Copperopolis — Rachell Marice Diaz, 19, of the 2500 block of Beaver Road, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, after an arrest at her home.

7:49 p.m., Valley Springs — Daniel Lee Bench, 44, of the 7200 block of West Murray Creek Road, was booked on suspicion of damaging power lines, after an arrest at his home.

9:35 p.m., Copperopolis — David Edward White, 51, of the 200 block of Bonanza Mine Road, was booked on suspicion of assault and criminal threats, fter an arrest at his home.
