TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

6:48 a.m., Jamestown — A man in his mid-20s lying in a yard on the 10600 block of Eighth Avenue turned out not to be drunk, as suspected, but just sleeping. He left the area.

6:52 a.m., Columbia — Two chainsaws were stolen from the 13300 block of Yankee Hill Road.

10:05 a.m., East Sonora — A woman walking her dog on the 13600 block of Bergel Road said transients told her someone is dumping carcasses of dead full-grown pit-bull dogs near the creek bed nearby, and she could smell a strong odor. She said the transients  think someone is fighting pit bulls in the area.

11:18 a.m., Twain Harte — The ATM card of a woman on the 17900 block of Blue Jay Court was fraudulently used in Fort Collins, Colo.

1:30 p.m., Twain Harte — Financial abuse of a 71-year-old man on the 22300 block of Ponderosa Drive was reported. A report was taken and forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for follow-up.

3:21 p.m., Jamestown — An arrest was made after law enforcement responded to a report that two women have been screaming since 2:30 a.m. inside a residence on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue. The woman reporting the incident said she believed a man had been abusing the women all night and he had just shoved a woman through a window, breaking the glass.

4:17 p.m., La Grange — The baseball field snack shack at El Prado Road near Merced Falls Road was burglarized.

6:56 p.m., La Grange — Numerous items were stolen from a vacation home on the 14700 block of Lucero Court.

6:57 p.m., Groveland — Prescription medication was stolen from a house on the 11300 block of Big Creek Shaft Road.

SATURDAY

1:53 a.m., Twain Harte — A fight was reported in front of a business on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive. It was over when law enforcement arrived, but a woman was bleeding from the mouth.

2:11 a.m., Tuolumne — A man said another man beat him up on the 20000 block of Hani Drive.

3:51 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 19400 block of Hess Avenue said she was driving up Highway 4 when she noticed a 4-foot rocket with a parachute come out of the sky. It crashed on the side of the road, so she picked up part of it and stuck it in her trunk. She said it is now beeping, and written on the side is U.S. Air Force with a serial number.

4:25 p.m., East Sonora — A man at a bank on the 13700 block of Mono Way reported fraudulent activity on his bank account.

4:31 p.m., Tuolumne — Two men were fighting in the street on Bay Avenue near Pine Street.

5:07 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said juveniles were shooting BB guns at each other at a park near Rolling Oaks Drive and Seco Street.

5:23 p.m., Jamestown — A suitcase was stolen from an apartment on the 10300 block of Willow Street.

SUNDAY

12:53 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone on 18400 block of Fir Avenue said a man wearing a backward baseball cap and black sweatshirt looked into the residence through the window and then walked away.

1:47 p.m., East Sonora — Two male juveniles were spotted stealing spray paint from a business on the 14800 block of Mono Way. The juveniles were gone when deputies arrived.

6:59 p.m., Jamestown — Unknown suspects broke out a woman’s back window at her residence near Old Melones Dam and Shell roads while her husband was at the lake earlier. Several items were missing from the residence.

12:30 p.m., Jamestown — Richard Lee Styre, 60, of the 18800 block of Golden Dove Lane, was booked on suspicion of possessing a stun gun with a previous felony conviction and committing a felony while out on bail or own recognizance, after an arrest at a residence on the 18800 block of Golden Dove Lane.

1:42 p.m., Jamestown — Roger Hutton Dunn, 36, of the 18200 block of Main Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and illegal possession of ammunition, after an arrest on the 18800 block of Golden Dove Lane.

3:32 p.m., Jamestown — Melissa Ann McDaniel, 35, of the 18200 block of Main Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at a residence on the 18200 block of Main Street.

4:06 p.m., Jamestown — Kristina Lynn McLaughlin, 39, of the 17000 block of Campbells Flat Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue.

SATURDAY

12:02 a.m., Jamestown — Raymundo Florendo Sarte, 29, of the 24500 block of Highway 108, Mi-Wuk Village, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Highway 108 and Main Street.

7:37 p.m., Sonora area — Robert Mitchum Weaver, 48, of the 20200 block of Sparrow lane, was booked on suspicion of child endangerment, after an arrest on Sparrow Lane.

9:17 p.m., Jamestown — Brenda Ann Robbins, 55, of the 100 block of North Anteros Avenue, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Chicken Ranch and Table Mountain roads.

4:45 p.m., Sonora — Dana Nicole Hagerman, 23, of the 19100 block of Sunny Circle, was arrested at Stockton Road and Bradford Street.

8:03 p.m., Sonora — Edwin Hubert Landic, 68, of the 100 block of North Stewart Street, was arrested at Stewart and Mehun streets.

9:03 p.m., Twain Harte — David John Vallelunga, 61, of the 20000 block of Davis Flat Road, was arrested on Highway 108 at the upper Twain Harte Drive exit.

SATURDAY

2:30 a.m., Jamestown — Timothy James Cope, 23, of the 100 block of Upper Sunset Drive, was arrested on Highway 108 at Wigwam Road.

3:03 a.m., Jamestown — Jacob Lee Wemmer, 23, of the 18300 block of Boitano Road, Big Oak Flat, was arrested at Seco Street and Jim Brady Road.

4:48 p.m., Sonora — Michael Patrick McEvoy, 61, of the 8000 block of Old Melones Dam Road, Jamestown, was arrested at Mono Way and Sanguinetti Road.

5 p.m., Jamestown — Dennis Lee Marcetti, 53, of the 1200 block of Nelson Avenue, Modesto, was arrested on Highway 120 east of Keystone Ranch.

8:06 p.m., Columbia — Jeffrey Martin Angermiller, 36, of the 20400 block of Skyline Road, Soulsbyville, was arrested on the 20900 block of Hudson Road.

SUNDAY

6:13 p.m., Jamestown — Rebecca Mae Roberts, 37, of the 10100 block of Peppermint Circle, was arrested at Peppermint Drive and Peppermint Circle.

7:38 p.m., Jamestown — Edmond Joseph Allatt, 32, of the 20000 block of Soulsbyville Road, Sonora, was arrested at Peppermint Creek and Rawhide Road.

Cal Fire reported the following:

SATURDAY

12:15 p.m., Twain Harte — There was a vegetation fire on the 19000 block of Old Buchanan Road. Cal Fire units from Twain Harte and Baseline Conservation Camp responded as well as units from Tuolumne City Fire Protection District, Rancheria Fire and Tuolumne County Fire Department. The fire burned about a quarter-acre of brush, causing an estimated $500 in damage. The cause of the fire was determined to be an escaped debris burn. Fire crews extinguished the blaze by 4:24 p.m.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

11 a.m., traffic accident — A large truck hit a fire hydrant on Sanguinetti Road, knocking it out of the ground.

12:58 p.m., theft — A purse was taken during the morning at an unknown location while the owner was running errands.

5:36 p.m., public intoxication — A 60-year-old man who staggered and appeared to fall into a rock wall on Stockton Road was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

6:36 p.m., fraud — A man used his debit card at a gas pump on Pesce Way. When he checked his account, he found two $100 charges at the same location in addition to the gas he charged.

SATURDAY

9:55 a.m., animal complaints — A man on South Barretta Street said he and his dog were attacked by two German shepherds while on a walk.

5:18 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A property owner on Elk Drive said someone cut the phone line from outside the residence where his daughter lives.

7:47 p.m., public intoxication — A bartender on South Washington Street said a man who just left urinated on the restroom floor inside the business. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

11:50 p.m., public intoxication — A 53-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication after allegedly getting into an altercation in front of a bar on South Washington Street.

The Sonora Fire Department reported the following:

SUNDAY

8 p.m., structure fire — A fire started in a garage attached to residence on the 200 block of Ridge Road. Units from Sonora Fire, Columbia Fire, Tuolumne County Fire, Columbia College Fire Academy, and Cal Fire responded to the incident. Crews were able to contain the fire to the rear of the garage. The cause of the fire was an overloaded electrical system, said Sonora Fire Chief Michael Barrows. A couple living at the residence were uninjured and declined assistance from Red Cross. A Columbia firefighter was transported for medical aid after stepping on a nail. The blaze was extinguished about 11:25 p.m.

7:48 a.m., Copperopolis — A stereo was stolen from Bret Harte Drive.

10:30 a.m., San Andreas — A fight occurred on East Saint Charles Street.

11:02 a.m., Murphys — A fight occurred on Main Street.

12:16 p.m., Arnold — A fight occurred on Highway 4.

1:13 p.m., Valley Springs — A fight occurred on Myrtle Street.

2:25 p.m., San Andreas — A fight occurred at Highway 49 near Gold Strike Road.

3:11 p.m., Valley Springs — A fight occurred on Cassidy Road.

9:21 p.m., Wallace — An arrest was made after a report of a fight on Slate Drive.

10:59 p.m., San Andreas — A citation was issued on an out of county warrant after a report of a fight at Market Street near Church Hill Road.

SATURDAY

7:47 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone said planter boxes were vandalized at a property on Gold Nugget Drive.

SUNDAY

8:14 a.m., Sheep Ranch — There was a report of a mountain lion in a sheep pen on Armstrong Road. The caller was transferred to the Fish and Game Department.

8:32 a.m., Arnold — A residence was burglarized on Cypress Point Drive.

10:07 a.m., Copperopolis — Vehicles at Lake Tulloch Resort on O’Byrnes Ferry Road were damaged after someone jumped on them the previous night.

11:23 a.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for graffiti in a restroom at a Hogan Dam campground.

12:54 p.m., San Andreas — A motorcycle was stolen on Forest Hill Drive.

5:40 p.m., Wilseyville — A burglary occurred on Blagen Boulevard.

12 p.m., Copperopolis — Rachell Marice Diaz, 19, of the 2500 block of Beaver Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at her home.

10:19 p.m., Wallace — Donald Leclercq, 54, of the 700 block of North Edison Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, after an arrest on Slate Drive.

SATURDAY

12:40 a.m., Angels Camp — Jo Ann Holden, 45, of the 1500 block of South Main Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 100 block of North Main Street.
