A story in Thursday’s edition of The Union Democrat about the Tuolumne City Sanitary District should have more clearly differentiated between a USDA loan the district is receiving to improve its sewage treatment plant and possible grant funds to pay off that loan. During the May 2 meeting, district staff reported that a California Water Association grant to pay off the loan is unlikely for the district. However, nothing has changed in regard to the actual USDA loan itself, which the district is still pursuing.I |
