TUOLUMNE COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

    7:51 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said a backpack and jacket were stolen from her vehicle on the 10900 block of Mount Brow Road. She found some of her belongings down the road along with other property that didn’t belong to her.

   8:37 a.m., Sonora area — A vehicle gray Toyota truck was burglarized while parked on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue. The thief made entry through the back window and then flattened the tires.

10:31 a.m., Sonora area — Someone said music equipment was stolen on the 16500 block of Tuolumne Road.

    5:25 p.m., Jamestown — The Sheriff’s Office received information that an ultralight had crashed near Shotgun Creek Drive and O’Byrnes Ferry Road. Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Wilson said the pilot was uninjured and it was a “hard landing” rather than a crash. 

7:23 p.m., Soulsbyville — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting two bottles of whiskey from a store on the 20600 block of Soulsbyville Road.

FRIDAY

12:57 a.m., Sonora area — A residence on the 14900 block of Curtis Circle was burglarized. The thief entered through a window and stole stereo equipment, three iPods and several pairs of pants.

THURSDAY

    5:08 a.m., Tuolumne — Angelica Margarita Barba, 40, of the 200 block of South Fourth Street, Patterson, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Black Oak and Tuolumne roads.

    9:43 a.m., Jamestown — Richard Lee Styre, 60, of the 18800 block of Golden Dove Lane, was booked on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm, after an arrest at his home.

     1 p.m., Columbia — Amanda Olivia Lancaster, 34, of the 12000 block of Columbia College Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at her home.

THURSDAY

    8:02 p.m., Sonora — Francis Lee Pacholl, 52, of the 100 block of North Stewart Street, was arrested at Campo Seco and Sleepy Hollow roads.

The Sonora Police Department repofrted the following:

THURSDAY

    12:40 p.m., theft — A woman said her son’s handheld video game was stolen from his backpack April 6 at Sonora Elementary School.

    12:52 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman on Oakside Drive said there were unauthorized charges made to her bank account.

    1:48 p.m., fraudulent activities — Someone at a restaurant on Stockton Road said a man came in saying he was collecting donations for the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office. The man was given a $175 check, but the caller was later informed the Sheriff’s Office was not soliciting donations.

   11:14 p.m., public intoxication — A 71-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after refusing to leave a bar on South Washington Street.

   11:38 p.m., controlled substances — A volunteer unit contacted a 43-year-old man sleeping in a vehicle on the bottom floor of a parking garage on North Washington Street. The man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and public intoxication. 

 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


WEDNESDAY

3:19 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A wanted parolee was arrested on Garden Lane following a report of a suspicious person.

9:33 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious person was arrested on Baldwin Street at Kirby Street. The 24-year-old man was booked on misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of drugs. 

THURSDAY

9:16 a.m., Murphys — A residential burglary was reported on Dogwood Drive, but it was later determined to be unfounded.

1:45 p.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for a health and safety code violation that occurred at Calaveras High School.

2:12 p.m., Burson — A residence on Cobb Lane was burglarized.

3:14 p.m., Wilseyville — Identity theft occurred on Blagen Boulevard.

FRIDAY

3:19 a.m., Valley Springs — A commercial burglary occurred on East Highway 12.
