William George Foster

July 8, 1936 — March 20, 2012

Angels Camp resident William George “Bill” Foster died March 20 at his home. He was 75.

Mr. Foster was born in Portland, Ore., and worked as a State Farm Insurance agent in Dublin for more than 30 years. He lived in Angels Camp for 15 years.

He was involved with Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Club, and Dublin Sister City organizations. He enjoyed music, singing, flying, golfing and baking brownies with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Strangio Foster, of Angels Camp; daughters, Pam Shore, of San Jose, Carrie McWilliams, of Culpeper, Va., and Lori DeWolf, of Arvada, Colo.; sons, Scott Foster, of Danville, and Steven Foster, of Lynchburg, Va.; his cousin, Penny Garrity, of Honolulu, Hawaii; and 11 grandchildren.  

Services have been held.

GOODELL — Myron Goodell, 83, of Twain Harte, died Thursday at Sonora Regional Medical Center transitional care unit. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 

KEIR — Riva “June” Keir, 83, of Sonora, died Thursday at Avalon Care Center. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

KLINE — Richard Kline, 64, of Arnold, died Friday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. 

RUIZ — Grace “Louise” Ruiz, 91, of Sonora, died Friday at Avalon Care Center. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 

SMITH — Gilbert “Smitty” Smith, 82, formerly of Groveland, died Thursday at a Hughson care center. A visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Heuton Memorial Chapel. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
