Paul ‘Paulie’ Gravelle 

Feb. 26, 1973 — March 30, 2012

Jamestown resident Paul “Paulie” Gravelle died March 30 at his home. He was 39. 

Mr. Gravelle was born in French Camp and lived in Tuolumne County for 35 years. He worked in micro-communications for seven years at the Stanislaus National Forest. He enjoyed being a musician and played the guitar and sang. He enjoyed camping and working on motorcycles and classic cars. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gravelle, in 1974.

Mr. Gravelle is survived by his girlfriend, Janice Klass, of Sonora; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Dan Micheli, of Sonora; his brother and sister-in-law, Carson and April Micheli, of Twain Harte; and his sister, Amanda Micheli, of Campbell; and one niece and one nephew, of Twain Harte. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Heuton Memorial Chapel. 

Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Wayne L. Moss

June 6, 1930 — March 18, 2012

Valley Springs resident Wayne L. Moss died March 18 at a Stockton care home. He was 81.

Mr. Moss managed and owned businesses that included The Stockton Bowl and The Buttercup Pantry, and worked many years for Straw Hat Pizza.

Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Ellen Reid; and his father, Meryl Moss.

He is survived by his daughters, Lorey Oliver, of Valley Springs, and Karen Faoro, of Vallejo; his brother, Buster Myrel Moss, of Petaluma; and grandchildren Ryan Oliver, of Valley Springs, Samantha Oliver, of Sacramento, Christopher Faoro, of Vallejo, and Robin Faoro, of Vallejo; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A small memorial will be held for friends and family at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel. 

A reception for  family and friends will be held at his favorite lunch spot, Round Table Pizza in Valley Springs, per his request.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. 


DUBSKY — Robert George “Bob” Dubsky, 96, of Sonora, died March 30 at Avalon Care Center. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. April 10 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 13880 Joshua Way, Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 

HATTON — Ruth Hatton, 86, of Jamestown, died Monday at her home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
