MLL-TVL track challenge-Frogs, Skins excel

    Bret Harte was the host school of the Trans Valley League-Mother Lode League Meet last Thursday.
    Bret Harte’s Mackenzie Theiler took first place in the girls’ 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
    Bret Harte’s Kelsey Switzer took first place in the girls’ long jump and second in the 100 meter dash.
        Redskin Isabella Lohsen took first in the Shot Put and discus throw. Teammate Brittni Barrett took second in the discus throw.
    Hannah Hull, of Calaveras, took second in the girls’ 1600 meter run, 800 meter run and teammate Kelly Airola took first in the pole vault and second in the high jump.
    Kyle Gouveia, of Calaveras, took second in the boys’ shot put and teammate Michael Coltrin took fifth.
    Redskin Zack Johnson took second in the boys’ long jump and high jump and teammate Joe Elliot took third in 400 meter dash.
    Other notable performers by Bret Harte: Kaylee Sedler (fourth, 800 meter run); Hannah Cantrell (fifth, 1600 meter run); Kevin Maurer (fifth, 800 meter run); Jake Piel (third, long jump) and Clara Jefferson (third, Shot Put).
    Other notable performers by Calaveras: Corey Hazelwood (second, 300 meter hurdles, fourth, 110 meter hurdles); Kelly Airola (fourth, 400 meter dash); Brittany Kohler (fifth,100 meter dash and 200 meter dash); Macklin Bolton (fourth, 300 meter hurdles); Austin Weatherby (third, pole vault).
    For Summerville, Jake Kulik took seventh in the 400 meter dash and teammate Logan Ainger took seventh in the 3200 meter run.
