Frances Hecker
Oct. 2, 1925 — March 10, 2012

    Longtime Sonora resident Margie Frances Hecker died March 10 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 86.
    Ms. Hecker was born in Berkeley and lived in Sonora for 30 years. She was a teacher for 26 years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and reading.
    She was a member of the Phi Mu sorority, Red Hat Society, American Association of University Women and the California Teacher’s Association. She also enjoyed being in a book club and playing bridge.
She was in a gourmet food club and was a member of Sonora Methodist Church.
    Ms. Hecker is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Debbie and Rich Ault, of Livermore, and Lisa and John Glasser, of Kent, Wash.; grandchildren Kate Ault, of Livermore and Andy Glasser, of Kent, Wash.; and her sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and James Davis.
    A donation in her name may be made to Friends of the Animal Community, 13565 Wilson Court, Sonora, CA 95370.
    A celebration of life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Skyline Place, 12877 Sylva Lane, Sonora.
    Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Vincent
Floyd Grimes
March 27, 1954 — March 3, 2012

    Arnold resident Vincent Floyd Grimes died March 3 at his home. He was 57.
    Mr. Grimes was born in San Mateo and raised in the Bay Area. He worked in the roofing industry.
    Twenty-five years ago his family moved to Arnold where Mr. Grimes enjoyed fishing, working outside in the yard, watching football and watching westerns. He was a member of Chapel in the Pines, the Harty Boys, Do-Wooders and the Elks Lodge. 
    He was preceded in death by his sister, Kitty Sue Hurdle. 
    Mr. Grimes is survived by his wife, Kathy Grimes, of Arnold; his sons Vincent Grimes, of Arnold and  Joshua Grimes, of Arnold; daughters Breanna Grimes, of Arnold and her fiance Justin Ribeira, of Angels Camp, and Sunny Pollock, of Oklahoma; his brother, Perry Hallman of Southern California; stepbrothers Curtis, Jeff and Donnie of the San Jose area; sisters, Marian Darby, of Gonzalez, Deborah Jean Grimes, of Grass Valley, Faith Fennelly, of Manteca, Mary Jane Welch, of Oroville, Alice Flores, of Laytonville, and Frances Blake, of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    Private services will be held at a later date.
    A donation in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society. 
    Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Gail Alice (Remer) Timko
Oct. 29, 1935 — March 13, 2012

    Angels Camp resident Gail Alice (Remer) Timko died March 13 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 76.
    Mrs. Timko was born in San Francisco and lived in San Bruno for 30 years, Sonora for 10 years and Angels Camp for 15 years.
    She was a homemaker.
    Mrs. Timko is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Timko, of Angels Camp; children and their spouses, Daniel and Sandy Timko, of Sonora, Lawrence and Tonette Timko, of San Carlos, Barry and Sandra Timko, of San Bruno, and Susan and George Morrow, of Sonora; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
    Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

James McKay
Dec. 19, 1914 — March 4, 2012

    Longtime Sonora resident James McKay died March 4 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 97.
    Mr. McKay was born in Utah and lived in Sonora for 30 years. Mr. McKay worked in clothing retail for 45 years.
    He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara McKay, of Sonora; his son, David McKay, of Sonora; his daughter, Kathy Currlin, of Charlotte, N.C.; and grandchildren Erin Broszkowski, Sara McKay, Sean Currlin, and Ian McKay.
    No services will be held.
    Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
