Dene Ishie
Feb. 11, 1992 — March 2, 2012

Angels Camp resident Debbie Dene Ishie died March 2 at her home. She was 20.
Ms. Ishie was born in South Lake Tahoe and lived in Angels Camp for eight years. She was a student at Columbia College. 
Ms. Ishie is survived by her son, Jaidyn Ishie-Jacobs, of Angels Camp; her parents, Tiffany Baumann and Glenn Johnson, of Angels Camp; brothers David Ishie and John Westphal, of Angels Camp; her sister, Diana Westphal, of Angels Camp; grandparents Dave and Diane Baumann, of Murphys, Rebecca Hamilton, of Reno, Nev., and Jean Johnson, of Angels Camp; and her great-grandmother, Sarah Hamilton, of Sacramento.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Angels Camp.  A reception will follow.
Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. 

Lester J. Rector
Jan. 22, 1922 — March 1, 2012

Hathaway Pines resident Lester J. Rector died March 1 at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Andreas. He was 90.
Mr. Rector was born in Springfield, Mo., moved to California in 1936 and settled in Stockton, where he met his future wife, Mary Rector. 
They were married 69 years. 
Mr. Rector served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was wounded in France in 1943 and received the Purple Heart. 
Mr. Rector moved to White Pines in 1950 where he worked as a timber faller for Doc Linebaugh Logging Co. He moved to Hathaway Pines when the mill shut down. Mr. Rector enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. 
Mr. Rector is survived by his wife, Mary, of Hathaway Pines; sons Ron Rector, of Hathaway Pines, and Don Rector, of White Pines; his brother, Walter Rector, of Stockton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 
Mr. Rector was preceded in death by his son, John Rector.
A donation in Mr. Rector’s name may be made to the Calaveras County Humane Society. 
No services will be held. 
Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
