CALAVERAS COUNTY

    The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    7:51 a.m., Wallace — A vehicle was burglarized and equipment was taken on Ospital Road.
    5:39 p.m., Copperopolis — There was an altercation on Little John Road.

THURSDAY
    5:59 a.m., Valley Springs — A burglary occurred on St. Andrews Drive.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY
    10:40 a.m., Angels Camp — Joseph Clarence Geto, 19, of the 1700 block of Ponderosa Way, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of commercial burglary, after an arrest on the 200 block of South Main Street.
    8:03 p.m., Angels Camp — Joshua Malachi Acedo Jr., 26, of the 1100 block of Bret Harte Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

    The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    9:11 a.m., East Sonora — A man on the 14600 block of Mono Way said his grandfather was scammed out of $8,000. He said someone called his grandfather claiming to be in jail in Mexico City and asked him to wire money. The man wired money on three different occasions.
    10:06 a.m., Groveland — A woman on the 19500 block of Butler Way said someone was fraudulently using her daughter's Social Security number.
    12:05 p.m., Jamestown — Someone took a stereo faceplate and orange backpack from a vehicle parked on the 18200 block of Main Street.
    5:26 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18500 Rawhide Road was concerned about a Facebook posting that instructed people to assault local taxi cab drivers.

    Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

WEDNESDAY
    12:25 a.m., Twain Harte — Belinda Jan Bolton, 23, of the 22000 block of Golf Club Drive, was arrested on Golf Club Drive south of Fuller Road.

    The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    8:45 a.m., vandalism — A man on McGowan Street said someone damaged the tires on his taxi cab sometime during the night.
