PROS The Professional Referral Organization of Sonora hosts a business meeting at 7 a.m. every Tuesday at Perko’s Cafe, 824 Mono Way, Sonora. For more information, contact Kathie Danicourt at 743-5737 or go to www.sonorapros.com. ‘It Takes a Village’ The Tuolumne County Association of Realtors will hold its “It Takes a Village” chili cookoff beginning at 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Westside Memorial Park in Tuolumne. The event will include chili tasting, music, children’s events, a car show, raffles and more. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, with all proceeds going to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s Parrotts Ferry Village, a project of 36 affordable townhouses being built in Columbia. The California Association of Realtors has also committed to match funds raised dollar-for-dollar up to $7,000. Ticket are available at the Tuolumne County Association of Realtors, the Help-U-Sell office in downtown Sonora, and the Century 21 Wildwood office in Twain Harte.
