TUOLUMNE COUNTY The Sonora Police Department reported the following: MONDAY 8:33 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman with short blonde hair, a black shirt and black shorts reportedly slept on the 300 block of South Washington Street and was then yelling into a phone. 11:03 a.m., controlled substances — A resident reported finding a syringe near the bathroom at Grigsby Park on Green Street. 1:53 p.m., unwanted person — A woman was reportedly causing a disturbance at a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road and dancing down the liquor aisle. 2:47 p.m., theft — Theft was reported on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. 5:50 p.m., domestic violence — A resident reported seeing a man and woman arguing at South Stewart and East Lyons streets and the man reportedly pushed the woman and took her phone. 6:30 p.m., theft — A bike was stolen at Courthouse Square. 6:43 p.m., theft — Theft was reported in the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. 9:16 p.m., controlled substances — A man was reportedly using narcotics behind the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road. He was talking to himself and appeared to have mental-health issues. 10 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on Sanguinetti Road reported her husband saw a man in their backyard and chased him away. The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: MONDAY 12:21 a.m., Sonora area — Authorities were on the lookout for a woman who was reportedly calling 911 from a cell phone in the area of Racetrack Road and Leland Drive and making up stories. 3:35 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman in the 18000 block of Laurel Avenue reported someone had been knocking on her door for five minutes. 7:38 a.m., Tuolumne — Several cows were in the road on the 17000 block of Tuolumne Road. 7:52 a.m., Tuolumne — A caller reported three or four bounty hunters went to the 18000 block of Tuolumne Road on Saturday and stalked and accosted a customer. 8:29 a.m., Sonora area — Residents in the 13000 block of Sylva Lane reported finding their front door open and the door frame damaged and safety chain broken. 9:32 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman in the 22000 block of Tamarack Drive reported being called by a man who said she won several million dollars and a vehicle but had to pay $5,000 to claim the prizes. 10:52 a.m., Chinese Camp — A resident of Shawmut Road and Highway 49 reported people stole about 100 yards of guardrail and unbolted hundreds of yards more. 11:17 a.m., East Sonora — A resident in the 16000 block of Via Este reported gas stolen. 1:25 p.m., Chinese Camp — A resident in the 10000 block of Shawmut Road reported the theft of items from several out buildings. 2:51 p.m., Sonora — Fraud was reported in the 19000 block of Greenley Road. 3:01 p.m., East Sonora — A resident on the 20000 block of Longeway Road said juveniles were dumping out ashtrays and taking down no-trespassing signs. 3:21 p.m., Sonora area — Two swords were reportedly stolen on the 16000 block of Estralita Drive. 3:51 p.m., Sonora area — A lawnmower was stolen from a shed in the 18000 block of Blue Bell East. 5:52 p.m., Groveland — A brick wall was damaged in the 19000 block of Pleasant View Drive. 6:17 p.m., Sonora area — A resident in the 10000 block of Kelso Court reported a woman came to the house and asked to use the bathroom to change her daughter’s diaper. While in the bathroom, the reportedly reportedly stole all of the resident’s pain medication. 7:03 p.m., East Sonora — Theft was reported in the 13000 block of Mono Way. 9:05 p.m., East Sonora — Two people were sitting in a parking lot on the 13000 block of Mono Way harassing employees. TUESDAY 12:05 a.m., Chinese Camp — A woman in the 10000 block of Shawmut Road reported hearing someone, possibly several sets of footsteps, walking around outside her house. Felony bookings MONDAY 8:34 a.m., Sonora — Michael Kenneth Kern, 19, of the 22000 block of Bigler Street, Columbia, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property. 8:06 p.m., Sonora — Janet Garibay, 44, of the 23000 block of Orien Mine Road, Columbia, was booked on suspicion of first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. 8:06 p.m., Sonora — Sandra Santos Huezo, 55, of Soulsbyville, was booked on first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime. 9:24 p.m., Sonora — Raymond Christopher Leichter, 42, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. CALAVERAS COUNTY The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: MONDAY 11:56 a.m., San Andreas — Neighbors on Big Foot Road were reportedly fighting over a dog. 1:06 p.m., West Point — A residential burglary was reported on Stanley Road. 3:52 p.m., Valley Springs — A verbal altercation was reported on Sequoia Avenue. 4:40 p.m., Railroad Flat — A residential burglary was reported on Spruce Gulch Road. 5:55 p.m., Copperopolis — Vandalism was reported in the 500 block of Feather Drive. 8:47 p.m., Valley Springs — A physical altercation was reported at the Valley Springs Elementary School on Pine Street. 9:31 p.m., Avery — A purse was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Highway 4. TUESDAY 12:58 a.m., Valley Springs — A large group of people was reportedly being loud, using foul language and being rude at Acorn Campground. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: SUNDAY 7:55 p.m., Copperopolis — Demitri Valerievich Lissin, 42, of Santa Clara, after arrest at Highway 4 east of O’Byrnes Ferry. MONDAY 1 a.m., Vallecito — Lindsay Rene Rosenberry, 27, of Vallecito, after arrest at Parrotts Ferry Road south of Batten Road. Felony bookings FRIDAY 9:40 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — Steve Harold Clark, 40, of the 800 block of Blossom Lane, Mokelumne Hill, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property greater than $400. SATURDAY 7:52 a.m., Burson — Stacie Lynn Amarante, 27, of the 430 block of Columbia Drive, Lodi, was booked on suspicion of child cruelty, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. 3:43 p.m., Angels Camp — Rashel Lyn Scarbrough, 41, of the 300 block of Dutchess Drive, Copperopolis, was booked on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana while driving and driving with a suspended license. SUNDAY 11:10 p.m., Murphys — Jesse James Taylor, 27, of San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of evading a peace officer causing injury or death and violating felony probation and misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, obstructing a public officer, possession of marijuana while driving, two counts of driving with a suspended license, possession of methaqualone, controlled substance paraphernalia and failing to appear on a misdemeanor charge. |
