CALAVERAS COUNTY Sheriff’s reports TUESDAY 8:20 a.m., Milton — A mailbox was vandalized on the 10100 block of Rock Creek Road. 8:34 a.m., San Andreas — Vandalism occurred on the 300 block of High School Street. 10:08 a.m., Avery — Vandalism occurred at Highway 4 and Rancho Paradiso Road. 10:29 a.m., Copperopolis — A residential burglary occurred on the 6400 block of Conner Estates Drive. 10:33 a.m., Valley Springs — A grand theft from a residence occurred on the 7600 block of Warren Road. 10:48 a.m., Burson — A vehicle break-in occurred on the 4300 block of Toreno Way. 12:29 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Vandalism occurred at Rail Road Flat School. 1:28 p.m., Valley Springs — A grand theft from a residence occurred on the 1400 block of Quail Oaks Road. 2:46 p.m., Burson — Vandalism occurred on the 3600 block of 4X Ranch Road. 3:03 p.m., Tamarack — A residential burglary occurred near Big Meadow Campground. Felony bookings TUESDAY 10:25 a.m., West Point — Linda Lou McClung, 53, of the 100 block of Marshall Way, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious injury and false imprisonment with violence, after an arrest at her home. 10:18 p.m., Fricot City — Ross Lavar Thornton Jr., 45, of the 10000 block of Fricot City Road, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, after an arrest at his home. TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff’s reports WEDNESDAY 12:17 a.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 17000 block of Clouds Rest Road said someone drove by his house and threw eggs at it, then came back and threw water balloons. 2:05 a.m., Confidence — A man on 22800 block of Confidence Road said he couldn’t get out of his vehicle because a bear was outside his garage after his garbage. He said the bear is an ongoing problem. 3:15 a.m., Confidence — A man 22800 block of Confidence Road said he just arrived home and saw someone jump off his back deck. The deputy told the man a bear was in the area, but he said he was sure it was a man. 3:54 a.m., Twain Harte — Four men entered a Joaquin Gully store. One stole two 18-packs of beer, and another man threw a $20 bill on the counter as they left, which didn’t cover the cost. 1:01 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 17700 block of Our Lane said someone has been stealing apricots, apples and pears from fruit trees in her yard. 1:15 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said six windows were shot at Summerville Elementary School on the 18400 block of Carter Street. 1:38 p.m., East Sonora — A doctor said one of his patients was assaulted July 24 at a fitness center by her estranged boyfriend, who grabbed her arm and pulled out her ear plug. The boyfriend said he had been harassed by the victim. 8:14 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on the 19900 block of L Street reported the theft of $800 from her residence. Felony bookings WEDNESDAY 7:16 p.m., Soulsbyville — Nathaniel Lee Camara, 18, 20500 block of Gerber Road, Tuolumne, booked on suspicion of burglary after arrest on the 20300 block of North Sunshine Road. 7:16 p.m., Soulsbyville — Shawn Daniel Renfro, 18, 20300 block of North Sunshine Road, booked on suspicion of burglary after arrest at his home. Sonora police reports WEDNESDAY 8:38 a.m., fraudulent activities — A Mono Way business reported receiving a fraudulent check Sunday in the amount of $42.87. 2:04 p.m., burglary — A caller on South Barretta Street said school supplies, CDs, clothing and a purse containing $20, cash, credit cards and a checkbook were taken from her locked vehicle. |
