The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:58 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man stole an item from a South Washington Street business and concealed it in his pants but later said he was going to go back and pay for it.

3:23 p.m., animal complaints — A cat attacked a dog at a Columbia Way residence and was injured, then had to be taken down from a tree and to a veterinarian’s office.

4:35 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — Four people fought near Truckenmiller Road.

8:33 p.m., domestic violence — A person on South Stewart Street heard a man yelling at a woman, furniture being thrown and banging on walls.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

2:14 p.m., Columbia — A Gold Springs Drive resident said people have continually drained his pond and stole his goldfish from it, and he doesn’t believe it was racoons because there have not been any tracks.

4:51 p.m., Twain Harte — A lost clarinet at a Slope Lane residence was found.

5:03 p.m., Columbia — A man speeding on Parrotts Ferry Road told a person to “[expletive] off,” then went backward through a drive-thru.

6:05 p.m., Sonora — A person on Standard Road said his classmates threatened to kill him because they think he stole a scooter, but his father said he purchased the scooter for his son for Christmas.

10:19 p.m., Sonora — A person on Elizabeth Lane hit another person over the head with a stick because the person had been out of town for five months and suddenly returned.

WEDNESDAY

1:40 a.m., Tuolumne — A small amount of heroin was dropped on the floor of a Tuolumne Road North business.

8:23 a.m., Sonora — A minor on Oxbow Lane North was being blocked into a small area by dogs.

2:20 p.m., Sonora — A person on Blue Bell East threatened someone with a knife and another person threatened him with a pipe.

4:16 p.m., Tuolumne — A person on Yosemite Road said they saw a nutria in their yard.

8:04 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Quartz Alley heard a loud explosion and several gunshots.
