The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

11:51 a.m., animal complaints — A black-and-white dog was seen in the rain in the back of a truck parked in a Mono way parking lot.

5:56 p.m., reckless driving — A driver pulled out onto South Washington Street and did not see another vehicle without its headlights on, so the driver of the other vehicle tailgated him and flipped him off.

6:08 p.m., trespass/loiter — A transient man stayed in a Mono Way business for most of the afternoon because he was cold.

7:36 p.m., trespass/loiter — A transient man passed out on a bench at a Mono Way business and made patrons uncomfortable.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:22 a.m., Jamestown — A person sat on the side of Highway 108 and a passerby was unsure if the person was breathing.

10:11 a.m., Sonora — A Tuolumne Road resident said a suspicious vehicle continually trespassed onto his property for something drug related.

4:51 p.m., Twain Harte — A Wildwood Drive resident said she a suspicious package on her porch that could be a bomb was getting rained on and she was afraid to leave her residence.

8:24 p.m., Sonora — A Creekside Drive resident hid in her bathroom because she heard a mountain lion and believed it was trying to get into her residence.

9:30 p.m., Columbia — A person at a South Airport Road mobile home park saw a person she believed to be a felon walking through the park with a shotgun.

9:36 p.m., Twain Harte — Christopher Anthony Soto, 31, of the 11300 block of Wards Ferry Road, Big Oak Flat, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury, violating a court order to prevent domestic violence and battery following an arrest on the 21800 block of Confidence Road.
