The Sonora Lions Club once again is offering wooden snowmen for sale to raise funds for the county’s Tree Mortality Aid Program.
The TMAP program was created by several service clubs and local officials to aid qualifying senior and disabled residents in Tuolumne County who are unable to pay for the removal of dead and dying trees on their property.
The snowmen are actual wood rounds that have been fashioned from the trees removed from various sites. Each tree is complete with its own top hat and scarf.
A large, three-piece snowman between 4 and 6 feet tall costs $50. A small, two-piece snowman between 2 and 3 1/2 feet tall costs $40.
All profits go toward the TMAP program.
