Sandra Shetzline, DO, recently joined Adventist Health Sonora’s Angels Camp Family Medical Office.
Shetzline is board certified in family practice and provides primary care for patients of all ages with a focus on preventative health care.
Shetzline has provided medical care in Calaveras County since 1999, spending her first 12 years in private practice in Arnold and the past seven years in Murphys. Prior to moving to California, she completed medical school at Rowan University in Stratford, New Jersey, and family practice residency at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and Kennedy Memorial Hospital, also in New Jersey.
Over two decades, Shetzline has built her practice through the recommendations of her patients, stated a press release.
“I love my patients and having the opportunity to care for entire families,” Shetzline said. “I and my staff strive to give people the best care, as though they are family.”
While Shetzline sees patients of all ages, she has a special interest in caring for the geriatric population and treating and helping prevent the chronic diseases that become more common as people age such as diabetes and hypertension, stated a press release.
Caring for seniors extends beyond her medical practice. Shetzline’s husband directs the senior center in Murphys, and her three children often volunteer.
“We feel privileged to be a part of this community,” Shetzline said.
