This month’s First Friday Art Walk event — sponsored by the Tuolumne County Arts Alliance in collaboration with the Jamestown Promotion Club — will host musicians and artists along Jamestown’s Main Street.
A highlight will be the Black Irish Band performing in Rocca Park’s gazebo from 5 to 7 p.m. Concertgoers are asked to bring low-back chairs to the show.
Across the street from the park, stop by and meet artist Chuck Knowles at Pierce’s Antiques and Collectibles. Knowles creates detailed oil and watercolor paintings as well as pen and ink drawings.
Beginning at the north end of Main Street, visit Blue Sky Market Antiques and Dorothy Jane’s Collectibles to see award-winning Mother Lode Art Association member Barbara Conley exhibit some of her paintings.
Live music will be provided by Gary Linehan and Sean Brennan, also known as Highway 49 Revisited.
Here’s The Scoop will host Renetta Hayes, a longtime Mother Lode Art Association member who will share her artwork on the shop’s side patio.
Inner Sanctum Cellars’ wine tasting room will showcase the award-winning photography of Tracy Barbutes.
“I’m pleased and honored to be Inner Sanctum Cellars’ featured artist for Jamestown’s First Friday Art Walk,” said Barbutes, who also works as a photographer for The Union Democrat. “I’ll be featuring some new imagery from my Wild Mustangs and Yosemite National Park series. Come, drink wine and support local businesses and artists.”
Nearby, Gianelli Vineyards’ wine tasting room will showcase the photography of Courtney Junette.
At Ash B’s, the musical group “Stripped by Hippies” features Tim Burns and some of his pals playing Americana, roots and country-style acoustic music.
Next door at The Emporium, stop by and meet award-winning artist Lila Cooper and see her floral portraits.
Stroll across Main Street to the Jamestown Hotel’s front porch and visit with photographer Gary Johnson.
Jamestown resident and artist Leslie Hurst will show her acclaimed artwork in the dining room of the National Hotel.
Meanwhile, the Jimtown Sock Company will feature artist Lorna Hunt, a longtime member of the Mother Lode Art Association.
