Holman earns All-American at JO in Texas

The Union Democrat Sports Department

Foothill Gold Running and Track Club's Broen Holman ran to All-American status on Dec. 14 at the 2013 USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in San Antonio, Texas.

Holman, a 7-year old, led a contingent of six club runners with a 20th-place finish out of 205 runners in the 7-8 division. His time was of 8:05.10 on the 2,000-meter course.

Cassi Land, 13, finished in 30th out of a field of 377. She finished the 4k course in 15:50.60.

Also for Foothill gold, Kaela Dishion, 13, was 112th in 16:05.94, Jackson McIlroy, 14, was 111th out of 444 in 14:14.69, Connor Landis was 112th in 14:15.59 and Ryan Dunlap, 13, was 157th in 14:28.42.
