Bailey Henington scored 28 points and Sandra Renda added 13 Tuesday night to lift the Sonora Wildcat girls hoopsters over host Turlock 55-29.

Henington connected on three from beyond the arc and Renda hit two. The guard duo also combined for 20 steals, Renda with 13.

"The two of them together were pretty good tonight," said Wildcat head coach Amy Santos.

Sonora led 11-10 after the first period but just 22-19 at halftime. The Cats outscored Turlock 15-7 in the third and buried the Bulldogs in the fourth, 18-3.

"We started playing in the second half like we should have been playing the whole time," Santos said. "We played a good second half."

Maria Chacon added five points for Sonora (5-2), Hannah Garrett hit a 3-pointer and Shea Stead, Michelle Ries and Kadi Patterson each scored two points.

The Wildcats will enjoy 10 days off before traveling to Riverbank on Friday, Dec. 27.
