Tuolumne County Aquatic Masters placed four swimmers in the Top 10 standings in November at the Pacific Masters 2013 Open Water Awards.

With six TCAM teammates contributing points, the team was 11th in the small-team rankings.

Beginning in May and ending in September, masters swimmers had the opportunity to compete in 17 different open-water races. The swims were held in lakes and the Pacific Ocean.

Lake events were at Spring Lake, Lake Berryessa, Lake Del Vale and Donner Lake. Ocean swims took place in Santa Cruz and Keller Cove in the San Francisco Bay.

Points were tallied for the seven best finishes by each swimmer.

In the small-team division, with teams comprised of one to 24 swimmers, Tamalpias Masters was first, followed by University of San Francisco Masters and Bay Masters in third.

With only six swimmers, TCAM ranked 22nd out of 96 teams.

Susan White, 71, led the team with second place in the 70-74 division. She was followed by Sheila Monaghan, 64, in fourth in the 60-64; Laurie Perry, 59, sixth in 55-59 and Christine Oliver, 50, seventh in the 50-54.

Scoring team points were Rachel Ottem, 27, and 43-year old Megan Mills.
