11 headed into Sonora High Hall of Fame

The Union Democrat Sports Department

Eleven former student-athletes will be inducted into the Sonora High School Sports Hall of Fame during a celebration on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Sonora Elks Lodge.

The evening begins with a no-host bar at5 p.m.and is followed by dinner at 6 and the awards ceremony at 7 where Frank Scott, (coach/honoree), Rand Bergstrom (class of 1966), Lewis "Bo"Leonard (class of 1957), Richard Walke (class of 1972), Susan Spence (class of 1976), Ken Danz (class of 1974), Brandon Ludwig (class of 1997), Scott Schoettgen (class of 2006), Shelli St. Claire (class of 1980), Kirk Clifton (class of 1991) and Bill Walton (class of 1996) (pictured above) will be honored. The cost to attend is $40 and $20 for children 12-and-under. Reservations must be made byNov. 1.
