Bowling: Porovich, Flanagan, Klaahsen top scorers

Robert Porovich (MondayNevada) had the high game with a 268 and the high series went to Kevin Flanagan (Umchu Full House) with a 754, which is also the only 700 series this report.

The women's high game and series belonged to Amanda Klaahsen (Umchu Full House) with a whopping 248/647 - her highest in awhile - the totals were 84/155 pins over her average.

The youth bowlers from the Gold Country Youth/Adult league had some high rollers with Chris Swendeman leading the boys with a 206/558, which was also 51/93 pins over average.

For the girls, Brianna Prock rolled a 141, which was 47 pins over average and young Delaynie Lattin rolled 110 pins over her average to finish with a 158 series.

Other notable scores include: SIRS - Jim Simmons 663;MondayNevada - Evelyn Lohr 233/580, Amanda Klaahsen 568, Robert Porovich 676, Bob Thomas 664 and Bobby Papapetrou 656; High Rollers - Nanette Warzee 571, Albert Ramirez 264; Early Birds - Sharon McThorn 562; Umchu Full House -Jim Simmons 265, Kevin Flanagan 257, Bob Chambers 675, Warren Walker 669; and Mixed Angels - Shirley Parades 226/568.

Bowlers inducted into the 'I can't believe I beat myself' club included: Gold Country Youth/Adult - Jonathan Burton (adult) who was 89/153 pins over his average with 232/582; High Rollers - Albert Ramirez 90 pins over with 264 and Ferni Geisdorff 78 pins over with 247; Jokers Wild - Jim Jacobs 82 over with 243; Senior Merrymakers - Steven Taylor 83 pins over with 233; and Umchu Full House - Jeff Reidel 84 pins over with 249.

Black Oak Lanes will hold its monthly Senior No-Tapon Friday.

Bowling for Vets onOct. 26

Black Oak Casino will host a bowling fundraiser for a Veteran's nonprofit onSaturday, Oct. 26.

Bowlers will get three games at $15 per person and shoe rentals are free. Complimentary coffee and cookies will be available.

There are three separate squad bowling times:9 a.m.,12 p.m., and3 p.m.

All proceeds will go directly to local veterans.

Walk-ins are welcome. To reserve a squad time call Black Oak Lanes at 928-9419.
