No Joker, Walker rolls top series

Warren Walker of the Summer Jokers Wild League bowled the men's high series of this report in league play at Black Oak Lanes in Tuolumne and was also the only competitor to top 700.

Walker recorded a 705 late last month to lead the way for men.

Kevin Flanagan in Helakno Full House rolled the top game for men with a 267, but just missed a 700 series with a 697.

The women's high series and game went to Shirley Parades of Diamond Duos who bowled a high game of 232 and the high series of 620 - her highest game and series in quite awhile.

Other notable scores during this past week include: Summer High Roller – Dan Isam 676; Summer Jokers Wild – Warren Walker 257; Helakno Full House - Jeff Hurley 255/685.

In the uncertified leagues, Kay Hunter and Manny Brager lead the way with a 231/620 and 288/739, respectively which were the high game and series for women and men.

In Wild Nite Out, Julie Kline and Jackie Ferreira traded places for game and series this week with Kline having the high series (443) and Ferreira rolling the high game (155).

Black Oak's monthly Senior No-Tap was held on July 12 with the following results-Men: Larry Fehlhaber 853, John Crass 877 and Jim Simmons 871; Women: Sandy Partridge 907, Karen Perrin 827, and Terry Hall 811. The Vanessa Brown Pro-Am was held recently at Yosemite Lanes in Modesto and the Andersons, Lennie and Nan, did quite well. Lennie won the men's title and Nan won a barbeque in a drawing.
