Bears shoot season low, drub Buffs

The Summerville Bear golfers shot a season-low 214 to easily defeat Amador by 70 strokes on Tuesday at Mountain Springs Golf Club.

"I think the warmer weather agrees with us," said Bears head coach Darcy Wingo.

Charlie McClung led the Bears with a 3-over-par 39 to earn medalist honors.

Also for the Bears (4-8 Mother Lode League), Jesse Roberson fired a 40, Kyle McLaurin a 41, Max Wulf a 46 and Jordan Barcelos a 48. The Bears recorded three birdies, Barcelos on No. 5, McClung on No. 6 and Roberson on No. 7.

The Bears will look to continue their sweet swings today against Linden at Mountain Springs. Tee time is at 3:30 p.m.
