Frogs stay unbeaten, dump Lions

The Union Democrat Sports Department /

The Bret Harte Bullfrogs golf team has been a model of consistency this season - they win and score low.

Tuesday against Linden it was no different.

The Bullfrogs had five golfers all within three strokes and remained unbeaten in the Mother Lode League with a 211-254 shellacking of the Lions at Lockeford Springs.

Rodney Riner shot the low score of the match, a 5-over-par 41, to earn medalist honors.

Also for the Bullfrogs (13-0 MLL), defending Division V champion Alex Milward, Colin Casey and Scott Hatfield shot 42s and Jayden Saville carded a 44.

The Bullfrogs will play rival Calaveras today at 3:30 p.m. at La Contenta and finish the season with a makeup match against Summerville on April 30.
