Bret Harte tennis narrowly defeated by Amador

The Union Democrat Sports Department

The Bullfrogs' tennis team was edged by the Amador Buffaloes 5-4 in Thursday's Mother Lode League matchup at Bret Harte High.

Bret Harte's Jack Gilbert and Sean Gorman won the No. 1 and 2 boys' singles matches against Erinn Madden and Luke Rasmusson, respectively.

Bullfrogs Carlos Rivera and Joe Dougherty teamed up to defeat Amador's Luke Harty and Brandon Dal Porto in the No. 2 boys' doubles match.

And Bret Harte's Austin Erans and Kayla Houler defeated Michelle Hoover and Juan Romero in the mixed doubles competition.
