7th-grade runner takes 2nd in Sparks

The Union Democrat Sports Department

Tori French, a 7th-grader at Soulsbyville Elementary, finished third overall, and second for the Buffalo Babes 8th-grade-and-under team, in the Natures Bakery Twilight Classic at Shadow Mountain Park in Sparks, NV., on Saturday.

Her time was 13:08 which is a 7:04 per-mile pace for 3,000m.
