Bailey earns co-MVP of MLL

Bret Harte made a mad dash to the baseball playoffs at the end of the season, winning four straight to get there.

And when the awards were handed out after the season, Bullfrog Josh Bailey earned Co-Most Valuable Player of the Mother Lode League.

The senior slugger and crafty pitcher shared the honor with Argonaut's Joe Wylie.

Also for Bret Harte, senior catcher Tanner Sherrow and pitcher/outfielder Justice Rasmussen earned First-Team honors.

Three Calaveras Redskins seniors made First-Team All-MLL: infielder

Dustin Brant, outfielder Jarrod Kennedy and pitcher Thomas Douglas.

For Summerville, freshman shortstop Bryce Farrell earned First-Team honors.

Area players earning Second-Team honors were: Joey Carlon, Will Jones

and Timmy Leary, of Bret Harte; Stewart Zabel and Tyler Gillis, of

Calaveras; and Joey Brocchini, of Summerville.

Area players earning honorable mention were: Kyle Bennett, Bret Harte;

Zach Thompson, Donovan Vassey, Calaveras; and Wayde Bentley, Connor

Morningstar, Colton Ebbers, Summerville.
