Dambacher, Wildcats earn win over Ceres

The Sonora Wildcats baseball team earned a 3-2 victory over Ceres on Saturday at Bev Barron Field.

The Wildcats have won three of their first four games of the season.

Nolan Dambacher threw four no-hit innings of relief allowing just one walk while striking out five to earn the victory for the Wildcats.

Justin Payne started the game for Sonora and threw three innings, allowing two unearned runs.

Bradley Begley and Karson Canaday had two hits apiece to lead the Wildcat offense.

Begley is now a smoking 8-for-12 on the season with a team-high seven runs batted in.

Payne also had a single and an RBI to complete the Wildcats' 5-hit attack.

Sonora will play at Ripon today at 3:30 p.m. and then will play

Lincoln on Thursday in the first round of the Pedretti Tournament.
