Football playoffs: Cats advance, Redskins fall

The Sonora Wildcats football team defeated Bear River 42-20 in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section 2011-12 Championships on Friday night at Dunlavy Field.

The Calaveras Redskin gridders fell 48-35 to Liberty Ranch at Galt High School.
