Sedler leads Frog girls to title at Bret Harte Invite

The Union Democrat Sports Department

Bret Harte's Kaylee Sedler finished first in the Frogtown Invitational on Saturday in Angels Camp.

"Kaylee Sedler ran away from the competition, beating second place by 1:20," said Bullfrogs head coach Keith Maurer. "The rest of the girls varsity ran as a good pack."

Out of 87 runners, Bullfrogs Rachel Spellenberg finished sixth,

Katharine Aiton 10th, Jessie Evans 12th, Hayley Rizzi 14th and Madison

Ward 16th.

The Bullfrog girls handily won the team meet overall.

The Bret Harte varsity boys' took fifth place overall as a team.

Bullfrog Joe Hollett finished 15th and teammate Eli Cardiel 16th.
