Summerville wrestlers drop finale

LINDEN The Summerville High School wrestling team wrapped up its regular season with a 30-12 loss to Linden on Thursday night.

Thomas Salado-Poor (114-pound weight class) and Justin Cole (13) earned both of Summerville's victories by forfeit.

At 147 pounds, Brent Buzinski lost to Brian Kidwell 10-8; at 154, Bryan James lost to Craig Krueg 7-1; and at heavyweight, Larry Jones lost to Luis Acevedo by pin at in the third round.

The Bears will compete in the Mother Lode League Tournament at Calaveras on Feb. 14 and 15.

The top four finishers in each MLL weight class will qualify for the Small-School Sub-Sections Tournament at Amador on Feb. 21 and 22.
