FOUR SUMMERVILLE WRESTLERS WIN AGAINST ARGONAUT

With 10 open weight classes, the Summerville High School wrestling team dropped a 60-21 dual-match at Argonaut, but did win four of the five weight classes in which it competed.

In the 112-pound weight division, Thomas Salado-Poor won by forfeit.

At 135 pounds, Justin Cole defeated Dylan Sanders 9-6.

At 145 pounds, Brent Buzinski defeated Rodney Maniz 6-5.

At 152 pounds, Brian James beat Dustin Robinson by pin at 1:24 of the second period.

At heavyweight, Larry Jones lost by pin to Justin Ramos at 1:38 of the first period.

In exhibition scrimmages, Salado-Poor beat 119-pounder Tyler Carson 22-6; lost to 130-pounder Joe Power 3-2; and beat 103-pounder Matt Bell 17-8. Also in exhibition matches, Cole beat 125-pounder David Podesta 11-4; Buzinski beat 152-pounder Anthony Vega by pin at 1:16 of the second period; James lost to 160-pounder Joe Pent by pin at 1:52 of the second period; and James lost to 215-pounder Jake Schneider by pin at 1:34 of the second period.

The Bears wrap up their regular season with a dual-meet at Linden on Thursday.
