Four Tuolumne County Aquatic Masters swimmers are in the final 2002 open-water rankings issued by Pacific Masters.

Susan White ranked second in the women's 60-64 age group for the second straight year, compiling 136 points to finish behind Susan Munn of Davis. Munn has been in the top five the past five years.

Also second for TCA was Dave Harmer in men's 55-59. Still a relative neophyte in open-water competition, Harmer moved up from from his fifth-place standing in 2001.

Sissy Mutzner tied for third in women's 70-74, moving up one spot from the previous year, and Sheila Monaghan came home fifth in women's 50-54, marking her fifth straight season in the top five.

Points were accrued in seven open-water swims in the May-to-September season, including one- and two-mile events hosted by TCA at Pinecrest Lake in August. Other races were held in Santa Cruz, Livermore, San Rafael and San Francisco, and at Lake Berryessa near Napa.

Pacific Masters represents California from Santa Cruz north, and also covers northern Nevada.
