Another match, another lopsided victory for the undefeated Bret Harte High School girls' golf team.

The Bullfrogs (10-0, 9-0 Valley Foothill League) walked past Riverbank 193-296 yesterday at Greenhorn Creek to stay on course for a showdown against equally unbeaten Central Catholic of Modesto.

The leaders will meet Thursday, Oct. 9, at Dryden Park in Modesto.

"They have the best golfer in the league (Gina Pecchenino), but I think Krystal (Thomson) can stay close to her and I think we're a little better than them after that," Bret Harte coach Rich Cathcart said.

Thomson was yesterday's medalist with a round of 46, while Colleen Smith shot 47, Kim Artiaga 49 and Caitlin Locke 51.

Katy Hughes and Laura Coker shot 72s for Riverbank.

Before the Central summit meeting, Bret Harte plays Escalon tomorrow and Modesto Christian next Tuesday, both at Greenhorn.
