The Wildcats (5-0) cruised to an easy, three-game sweep of Argonaut in Jackson yesterday.

"We played a solid and steady match," Sonora coach Darla Mayhew said. "One of our goals is not to play on a roller coaster. Last night, we played steady and didn't fall into the bottom loops of the roller coaster."

Lindsy Evans served nine-for-10 with five aces, had two blocks and hit 10-for-12 with 7 kills; Kim Lorenzen hit 12-for-13 with one kill and had one block; Margaret Hemphill served 12-for-13 with one ace and set 33-for-33 with nine assists; Kelsey peterson hit seven-for-nine with four kills; Jillian Bartgis hit eight-for-nine with four kills; Danein Wells had one block; Haley McColloch served 12-for-14 with two aces; and Breann Craig had two defensive digs.

Sonora visits Pitman tomorrow.

Sophomores Sonora (5-0) coasted to a 25-5, 25-11 victory over Argonaut.

Erica Chabot served 8-for-8 with two aces for eight points, hit 1-for-2 with one kill, tipped 1-for-1, received 1-for-1, dug 1-for-1, and had two assists; Vanessa Crook served 5-for-5 for five points, hit 3-for-3 with two kills, received 1-for-1 and dug 2-for-2; and Kendra Vasquez served 5-for-5 with one ace for five points, hit 1-for-3 and had one block.
