BH soccer streak ends at three

ATWATER The Bret Harte High School boys' soccer team's three-game winning streak was snapped yesterday in a 3-1 loss to Buhach Colony.

After the Bullfrogs (3-3) fell behind 2-0 at halftime, forward Eric Ornelas scored his seventh goal of the season early in the second half.

But the Thunder (3-2-3) knocked in its insurance goal shortly thereafter and made the two-goal margin stand up.

Goalie Johnny Casteneda made eight of Bret Harte's nine saves, while right fullback Trevor Garcia led a defense which allowed Buhach Colony just 11 shots on goal.
