EAU CLAIRE, Wis. The Tuolumne County-based California Crew was eliminated from the North American Fastpitch Association AA World Series yesterday.

The defending champion Crew, which won last year's title in Salem, Ore., was bounced from the tournament after losing a 2-1 decision to Wilbur Lime, Wis., in its second game of the day.

After dropping a 2-0 decision to PBI of Minnesota in the tournament's opening round on Sunday, the Crew staved off elimination with a 5-4 win over Rage, Col., in its first game yesterday before falling to Wilbur Lime.

Next up for the Crew will be the AAA Series, with an opening-round game against Circle Tap Lumberjacks of Wisconsin scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday in Eau Claire, Wis.
