SOCCER CAMP, FOOTBALL CLINIC ON TAP

Calaveras High School head football coach Roger Canepa, along with his assistant coaches and players, will host the fifth annual Calaveras Redskins Football Clinic from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. tomorrow on the school's football field.

Signups will begin at 8 a.m. for Pop Warner-aged players (8- to- 14-year-olds). Campers are to bring shorts, cleats and lunch. The signup fee is $30, with scholarships available upon request.

The non-contact camp will cover offensive positions in the morning and defensive positions in the afternoon.

Soccer camp

Challenger British Soccer Camps will conduct a series of clinics Aug. 11 through 15 at Toyon Middle School for players from 4 to 16 years of age.

The Mini Kickers (4- to 5-year-olds) will cost $64 per camper. They will be on the field from 9 to 10 a.m.

The Half Day (6- to 16-year-olds) will cost $89 per camper. They will be on the field from 9 a.m. to noon or 5 to 8 p.m..

The Team Camp (6- to 16-year-olds) will cost $900 per team. They will be on the field from 9 a.m. to noon or 5 to 8 p.m.

The Half Day (10- to 16-year-olds) will cost $89 per camper. They will be on the field from 5 to 8 p.m.

In addition to one-on-one instruction, campers will also receive a soccer ball, a T-shirt and an individual player evaluation.
