An unfortunate driver takes a shot from behind during the Mother Lode Fair Destruction Derby last night at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds Arena. Making his 18th appearance in the event, Rick Roberts came away with his first championship in his well-known U2 car good for $625 and a trophy for "Most Aggresive" driver. Roberts, his bright red station wagon which didn't stay bright for long and his trusty pitcrew were sponsored by Chicken Ranch Bingo and Casino.
