Minors

In the double-elimination tournament hosted by Westside at Jerry Whitehead Field in Tuolumne, Calaveras American and Foothill have advanced to the third round with a pair of opening-round victories.

Woods Creek (Sonora and Columbia) and Calaveras National (San Andreas) will play a winners' bracket, second-round game at 6 p.m. today. Woods Creek defeated Linden on Saturday in its opening-round game while Calaveras National received a bye. The winner of that game will face Calaveras American in the third round.

Amador East and Westside (Tuolumne and Standard) will face each other at 6 p.m. tomorrow in the final second-round game. Westside defeated High Sierra in the opening round while Amador East received a bye. The winner will play Foothill in the third round.

Majors

In the double-elimination tournament hosted by Linden, Ebbetts Pass, Calaveras American, Linden and Westside advanced to the third round of the winners' bracket with victories in the first two rounds.

Winners' bracket play continues today at 7:30 p.m. with Ebbetts Pass taking on Calaveras American on the West field and Linden playing Westside on the East field.

Amador East, Woods Creek, Calaveras National and High Sierra advanced to the second round of the losers' brackets with elimination-game victories yesterday.

In today's elimination games, Woods Creek will face Amador East on the West field at 5 p.m. while High Sierra will take on Calaveras National at 5 p.m. on the East field.

Juniors

The double-elimination tournament hosted by Amador West at Amador High School in Sutter Creek begins today with a pair of games.

Woods Creek (Sonora and Columbia) will face Amador East in the opener at 6 p.m. on Field 1.

Also at 6 p.m., High Sierra (Twain Harte, Soulsbyville and Belleview) will face Linden on Field 2.

The tournament will continue tomorrow with host Amador West facing the Amador Eat-Woods Creek winner at 6 p.m. on Field 1.

The first elimination game of the tournament will be played at 6 p.m. tomorrow between the losers of today's games.
