Pitcher Mike Burrell of Townsend Drywall tries to throw a runner out from his knees on a bunt during last night's men's fastpitch opener against Mountain Bookshop in the Tuolumne County Recreation Department summer league at Standard Park. Lending moral support is catcher Tim Wertz, but it wasn't enough as Townsend lost 5-0. Summer openers also were played last night in the Coed E, F1 and F2 slowpitch divisions.
