Several big events are coming up for prospective and current Sonora High School athletes, beginning with New Student Athletic Night on Monday, May 19.

Coaches of all Wildcat sports will be on hand at 6:30 p.m. in Bud Castle Gym to provide information and answer the questions of incoming athletes and their parents.

The will be the first time such an event has been held at Sonora.

After that are the annual Wildcat Shooting Camps for girls' and boys' basketball players from sixth grade through high school.

The girls' camp is July 7-11 and the boys' camp is July 14-18, both from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Castle. The cost is $40, and information is available by calling Rick Francis, Sonora's athletic director and varsity boys' basketball coach, at 532-5511, ext. 187.
